First of all, I didn`t really choose to study psychology in the first place, because I didn't know what to study so I entered to Bachillerato. There I had many subjects, one of them was an introduction to psychology. However, I didn't really like this class, so psychology was it disappointment. But in the second semester I had more humanistic subjects and I began to like this area, so I searched a career that includes philosophy and social thinkings but also that included some scientific knowledge. I got to psychology by ruling out the other careers in FACSO, because they didn't have the scientific area that I was looking for.
Secondly, when I chose to study psychology, I didn't really know much of it. I learnt that psychologyst help people, diagnose their mental disseases, but now I realise that this carreer study many more aspects of human being. For this reason now it is a more attractive career to me.
I chose Universidad de Chile because it is a historic and prestigious institution. Also, I was influenced by my family, because they knew about that. The last reason I chose U. de Chile was that I had a high score in my PSU to enter to Bachillerato, and I didn't know what to study at that time.

I want to visit Japan because their culture is the opposite of the one in we live. This duality between orient and occident attracts me because are so many differents in many aspects like language, accent, phonetic, food and principally in the way to conceive the life. I know that nowadays the globallizating world supress the differences between cultures, but in the deep aspect of mental estructures, I think there are still being differences in conceptions of existing.
I know of that country that they eat a lot of fish and the live in the big cities is very fast and caotic, because they have a lot of people concentrated in there. They have a tradition of samurais and fishing thats cause me curiosity, the very rich traditions that comes from many years ago, from one of the cradles of oriental culture.
There I'd like to interact with the japanese people, in spite of the differences in language and culture. I think they can understand english and sign language so we can communicate and understand each other.
I want to explore the cities and know how is normal life there.
Principally, I'd like to live there and experience the life of a common japanese man, because attracts me the way of conceiving life and thats is only perceptible by living there. But if I have the chance to study in english or to learn japanese, I really like to study my carreer psychology there. It seems really interesting to know how is the focus of knowledge in that area and how they conceive that career.
