My favorite book is "The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge" of Carlos Castaneda. This book is part of a four book collection that also includes "A Separate Reality", "Journey to Ixtlan" and "Tales Of Power". These books were written in 1968, 1971, 1973 and 1975 respectively.

The story of the book is based on a real experience of Carlos Castaneda and he wrote it in a autobiographical narration. He was studying anthropology in the University of California (UCLA) and this book were his grade thesis. He was doing an etnography in the state of Sonora in Mexico. There he met an indian wizard of the Yaqui tradition. The name of the wizard was Juan Matus but Castaneda tell him Don Juan. The story is about the teachings of Don Juan to Carlos Castaneda about being a Yaqui wizard. Don Juan train Carlos in the use of different entheogenics. This will help Castaneda to change his perception and consciousness, knowing how the Yaqui's see the life. Don Juan try to teach this knowledge to Carlos because he wants to maintain this tradition over the time.

I really like this book because it taught me differents ways of conceive the existence. Also, know another cultures and how they use the nature for his benefit. Finally, I like it because the story is funny and curious, maintaining me intrigued, so I can't stop reading.
